Please note that the registration process is a two step process. First: Go to the link and fill out the registration form online Second: All registered players must attend their assigned evaluation time in order for coaches to assess player skills in a group setting.
REGISTRATION FEES: Cheques are to be made payable to VUSC and are due at evaluations September 5/6th. Players will not be able to participate in evaluations if fees have not been remitted. A separate cheque for $75 will be required for the jersey deposit postdated for April 15, 2018
Cheques are deposited immediately after evaluations have been completed and team rosters confirmed. The cheques of players who do not make teams will be shredded by the Treasurer of Valley United SC. Under no other circumstance is the Valley United SC obliged to repay fees. Registering with VUSC does not guarantee your player a spot on a team. All players must attend an evaluation session where qualified coaches determine team placements.
EVALUATION TIMES: Evaluations are September 5 & 6 at the Warman Legends. Evaluation groups and times will be posted after registration closes. Please wear shorts, t-shirt, shin pads, soccer socks, court shoes or runners (no cleats) and bring a water bottle. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your start time.
PRACTICES: Most teams will practice twice per week with one practice being during the week (other than game night) and the second on Sundays. Practice times will be set by individual teams however in previous seasons teams have tried to book Sunday practices in the afternoon/evening. EQUIPMENT: Players will be provided with 2 team Jerseys, and shorts. All jerseys and shorts must be returned when the season ends. Players are responsible for providing their own socks, shin pads, soccer cleats and indoor shoes (runners or court shoes) and water bottle. If players do not bring their complete kit to each game, they will not be allowed to play.
TOURNAMENTS: Most teams participate in tournaments throughout the season. Tournaments are held in Saskatoon however some teams may chose to travel outside of Saskatoon. Tournament costs are not included in registration fees. Tournament registration is generally between $30-$40/player. Teams are free to organize fundraising events.
KIDSPORT: Kidsport is a childen's charity dedicated to assisting children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs. PLAYER RELEASES: Valley United Soccer Club (VUSC) is located within the district of the Valley Soccer Association (VSA) and as such, the VSA is the body that is responsible for issuing releases for those players residing in the VSA's district for which VUSC is not forming a team for that player's age group or skill level. Valley United Soccer Club follows the same rules as Saskatoon Youth Soccer. All players residing in the VSA's zone must register with VUSC and attend an evaluation session. Releases will only be issued if a player has registered, attended evaluations, and a team is not being fielded under VUSC for that player's age group or skill level (division). Player's seeking a release must print out and complete the release form located on the Valley Soccer Association Website, listed under forms.
